Il y a plus de cinq ans maintenant, j'ai acheté Hikaru No Go en DVD non sans être dubitatif sur l'intérêt de l'animé. Je n'ai jamais lu le manga-papier. Je ne vous parlerai donc que de l'animé.
Le synopsis est plutôt banal: En fouillant dans son grenier, le jeune Hikaru découvre un jeu de go, habité par l'esprit d'un ancêtre, un excellent joueur des temps anciens. C'est le début d'une nouvelle passion pour le jeune garçon, épaulé par les conseils tactiques d'une éminence grise vieille de plusieurs siècles. Mais, si les règles sont les même qu'auparavant, les adversaires ont changé et leur style de jeu a évolué. À moins peut-être qu'Hikaru ne soit pas aussi néophyte qu'il n'y paraît...
Mouais. Pas de quoi s'affoler à première vue. En fait, Hikaru c'est vous. Il vous incarne en tant que profane du monde du Go. Et vous allez suivre (ou vivre) sa fulgurante ascension, jonchée d'obstacles et de compétitions.
Le risque? Ne rien y comprendre. Un jeu aux règles - à priori - obscures au centre d'un animé! Une idée farfelue mise en forme par le dessinateur de DEATH NOTE. Bah, oui. Quand on ne connait pas les règles du jeu, je ne vois pas comment on pourrait passer près de 12h à le regarder...
Et... Comment dire... Le Go ce n'est pas seulement un jeu. C'est une philosophie, un art de vivre. Et on a beau ignorer la plupart de ses règles, on ne décroche pas une seconde de l'animé! Pour ma part, cela a eu l'effet d'une bombe. Une religion m'a été révélée!
Non seulement l'intrigue est finement ficelée mais le sujet lui même est captivant, stricto sensu. On sent peu à peu la dépendance prendre le pas sur la raison et on enchaine les épisodes... Et l'esprit du Go aura vite fait de vous habiter. Car cette chose a une âme.
Très vite, je me suis renseigné et j'ai plongé. Achat du matériel nécessaire à tout joueur avisé (Goban, Bols en noisetiers et pierres) et lecture de méthodes d'apprentissage.
Et je vais vous dire, jouer au go lorsque l'on a saisi les tenants et aboutissants est une autre histoire. Les piliers ancestraux des règles nous transcendent et c'est une nouvelle histoire qui s'écrit à chaque pierre qui se pose. MAGIQUE.
Depuis, je joue non seulement à la maison -lorsqu'un adversaire est à ma portée - mais aussi sur internet (http://www.gokgs.com/). Je suis d'ailleurs prêt à former les volontaires par des parties pédagogiques.
Mais revenons à Hikaru No Go. L'animé vous retiendra jusqu'au bout pour s'éteindre précocément, sans donner suite. Il manque une fin. Quoi de plus horrible?! Je ne sais pas. Espérons seulement que le manga-papier n'a pas connu le même sort! Car, de l'animé, on en ressort victime! Pas une excuse. Rien. Le trou noir. Et la dépendance avec. Sorte de drogue ou de religion quasi dogmatique.
En conclusion, Hikaru No Go, c'est un peu comme Jésus de Nazareth. Il vous endoctrine sans que vous en ayez vraiment conscience... et fait de vous son meilleur apôtre, à la foi infaillible et à la fois défailli de toute raison.

C'est exactement ça. Cette série est vraiment addictive (d'ailleurs c toi qui me les a passé, je te les ai rendus ??), tu t'atomises devant, tu comprends rien mais tu décroches pas. J'avais essayé le go fut un temp.... mais je suis prêt à me remobiliser les méninges pour passer 9ème dan.

Et oui, ceux qui n'ont jamais visionné cette série vont être fan, car elle s'adresse à tout le monde, aussi bien les jeunes pré-ados qu'aux hommes viriles!
Addiction garantie pour cet animé parfaitement construit(bon sauf la fin mais on est pas rancunier) avec tout ce qu'il faut d'humour, d'amour, de suspense et de fantastique....
Quant au go, vous ne pourrez pas résister à le tester après hikaru; seulement, il faudra savoir s'accrocher car le go ce n'est pas compliqué dans les règles , mais c'est épuisant par sa cérébralité si on veut gagner!(pour ceux qui connaissent les échecs et ben c'est plus facile que le go!)
